In 1992 I was living with a bunch of friends in a loft in San Francisco in a neighborhood that would soon come to be known later as hip-n-trendy SoMa. In 1992, it was just "South of Market" and I think we were the only residents in the industrial neighborhood. We were four or five people living in a wall-less, cold-water flat, chasing out dreams of producing films. I began filming our at-home life, thinking it might eventually make fodder for a documentary as it was a very unusual household.

I left the cold water flat soon after this film was shot and dropped the documentary idea, although I still treasure the little pieces I got on tape back in the day.

In this clip, Raelle comes home drunk from the previous night. Patrick and Rachel are rearranging our living/office space (of course we worked out of the house as well). Raelle is cranky and wants her chair back. This is what life was like. I used to sit quietly in the corner (as Will is doing in this video) and just watch the show.
