Any Optimus/Svea SRV (safety release valve) fuel cap is completely compatible with the threading on the Radius tank fuel filler neck.The Optimus/Svea SRV fuel cap was used during the testing of this stove using white gas (aka naphtha) and denatured alcohol (aka ethanol) fuels. Though a careful, responsible and attentive stove user might not find it necessary to use the Optimus/Svea SRV fuel cap, the idea on the conversion is that the Optimus SRV fuel cap is the user cap when white gas or DA are used as fuels in order to promote safety. For packing and transport, swap the Optimus/Svea SRV fuel cap for the standard Radius fuel cap.
NRV = non-return valve, a one-way valve in the bottom of the pump tube that allows you to pump air into the tank but keeps fuel and air inside from coming back out the pump tube.

Here are the details on the multi-fuel conversion.
The alcohol air restrictor tube is made from 17/32" diameter thin wall brass tubing easily findable in good hobby shops or hardware stores. The air restrictor tube should be fitted with four holes at one end and three holes at the other. This allows for changes in altitude. The holes in the end of my tube were made with a #30 (0.1285 diameter) drill bit, though you will need to adjust the diameter of those restrictor tube holes to match your jet and your type of DA (denatured alcohol). A range of #33 to #27 drill bits should get you a tube that will do the job. Obviously some experimentation and trial-and-error is required. Avoid running a stove with a restrictor tube which makes the mix too lean. You'll see your outer silent cap getting red if you get too lean. Enlarge the restrictor tube holes to get a richer mix. Better to have a little yellow in the flames from a rich mix than to light up the cap with too lean a mix which will greatly shorten the life of your outer cap.
The dedicated alcohol jet (#2508 is available from The Base-Camp in the UK, base-camp.co.uk/Optimus.html , or can be scavenged from the hundreds of Homestrand or Kenyon Mariner two-burner alcohol boat stoves that still appear at auction.
