It's finally time for me to harvest my radish rat tail that I've grown for the first time this year in my urban garden. I originally purchased seeds from Botanical Interests and the plants have grown big with lots of crisp, delicious, bean-like pods!

This particular type of radish was bred not for the roots but specifically for the edible seed pods. That being the case, you'll find tall, vigorous top growth. It is quick to bolt, flowering prolifically and thus generating lots of little pods. They get fibrous and tough as they get bigger, so pick them when they're young and tender!
