Trudging through a dark hospital, seeking answers for questions unknown...

Like a fork grinding against a metal plate impales one's ears with a horrid noise, the surrounding scene is no less repulsive to the eyes. Through darkness shines the dim light of broken fixtures and lamps in offices, showering the decaying walls in a grim twilight. Documents of patients lay on the floor whose surface is oddly slick with spots of blood. The girl is careful not to lose her footing as she trudges onward, ignoring all that surrounds her. The light casts a weak shadow behind her, slowly drawing her focus in that direction. She knows the shape before her is only her shadow, but the flickering light fools her briefly; she is reminded of her sister, who was kept on the very same floor. The feel of arms wrapped around her lost relative returns to the girl; the smooth texture of her sister's hospital gown influences a deep, warm sadness which swells up and flows outward through cold, salty tears. There is no gown and there is no sister; all that remains is a little girl comforting herself in the midst of silent terror.
She stares back, gazing toward Room 359-E. Though the scent of blood and all-consuming silence clouded her mind, the mild scent of roses and thyme quiets all distractions and soothes her. She recalls her sister's final moments as she notices the strangely perfect condition of the room's door despite all surrounding it. Her trembling hand reaches forward to grab the knob, but all goes dark and silent.

Just messing around with writing and ambience.
I wrote this for an English 1010 essay, but I decided that I should try to make music for it.
So I did.
Nothing's final, but I believe that this will be a section of the story I'm planning out, so...
Hope you all enjoy.
Sorry it isn't my usual orchestral stuff; I'm still experimenting with genres and emotions.
However, I promise I'll work hard on something nice and musical; I've got a few ideas and, of course, I'm gonna do my best with 'em.
