This is the final song of a dark ambient album I've been working extremely hard on for the past few weeks.
I've had it on my mind for a while, and I really wanted to make it happen, so I hope you guys enjoy it.
In this, I followed the typical people of inspiration; Akira Yamaoka, Jason Graves, and the composer for Silent Hill: Downpour's OST, Daniel Licht.
This is by no means as grand of an undertaking, but I have been busting my tail nearly every day, before and after work, to get this done, and it's definitely worth it.
I did sacrifice a bit of the scary factor for a more "musical" atmosphere since pure dark ambient isn't everyone's cup of tea, but when it fully shifts to the otherworld and tracks like Atrophy and Somatisation come in, I'm able to loosen up a bit.
For this song in particular, I only figured out the plot surrounding this part about a few days ago.
I ended up working out an alternate ending (this one) with a two-phase boss fight, the first one being against some ominous and ambiguous figure with several different voices, and the second phase against its true nature, which I believe the song details clearly enough.
When I imagined this, there was just so much energy in the atmosphere and the POV was warped beyond belief; I loved it so much that I wanted to just go as hard and heavy as I could muster, throwing anything I knew about music out the window.
I wasn't originally going to make it a Smile Smile Smile remix, it was just going to be as insane as I could make it, but what's crazier than something you know so well being mangled and pushed beyond its limits?
All in all, it's been a blast.
Not everyone will like it, but that's the nature of these things, yeah?
Even still, I'm thankful for your time, and perhaps we'll see each other again in the next video description of something much less frenzied and distorted.

As of writing this, it's 3:25 in the morning and I've been working on this album almost nonstop ever since I woke up.
But, you know what?
I'm grateful; I can finally rest, I don't have to look at anymore grimdark pictures for inspiration, and the album's done.
Maybe it'll be a success, maybe it won't be, but it's what I wanted to do, and that's all this channel will ever be.
Hope you guys'll stick with me for the ride, because it'll only get more interesting.
