The final boss of the Elden Ring dlc is a truly insane fight. Took me about eight hours to beat under my own terms (self-discovered strats, no summons, no guarding). What I do at the start of phase 2 is consistent. Kind of. Read on for more details.
My build:
Level 222. 60 Vigor, 13 Mind, 60 End, 63 Str, 31 Dex, 8 Int, 9 Fai, 60 Arcane
Level 20 Scadutree Blessing
Weapon: +10 Ancient Meteoric Ore Greatsword, two-handed
Shield: Great Turtle Shell; only used for the stamina regain boost
Armor: Only the Dancer's Dress. Because it looks ok and kept me in light rolling
Talismans: Golden Braid, Crimson Seed Talisman +1, Two-Handed Sword Talisman, Dragoncrest Greatshield Talisman
Physick: Opaline Hardtear + Magic-Shrouding Cracked Tear
The stagger at the start of phase 2 can happen randomly with this build if played aggressively, but I found a way to make it somewhat consistent. It will happen almost every time if the following is done:
1) End phase 1 with a charged R2 followed immediately by both hits of White Light Charge (the Ancient Meteoric Ore Greatsword's ash of war).
2) Start phase 2 by hitting with both hits of White Light Charge. There's a small chance this still might not stagger because ER is silly. If that happens then immediately follow up with an R1 - it will barely hit Radahn as he hovers up, and will almost certainly stagger him. But don't do this R1 if you staggered with White Light Charge, because that will make you lose the crit!
Phase 1 ends after four charged R2s and one R1. This is easy to track mentally. There are many punish windows where you can safely get in a charged R2. The best place to get in an R1 is when Radahn flips towards you and slams his swords into the ground. You can safely roll + buffer an R1, then if he does the follow-up flip you barely have time to buffer roll that into a charged R2. You only want a single R1, which is why in this clear I don't use this safe strat again when Radahn uses his flipping sword slam a second time during phase one.
After the fourth charged R2 you want to immediately use White Light Charge. Don't think about it. Just mash the button and hope you get both hits and trigger the phase transition. There's like a 50% chance it won't work, in which case you restart the fight. A small price to pay for the chance to get so much free damage on phase 2.
After that you just have to deal with the rest of phase 2. Have fun with that.

![Lets Play I Wanna Be The Barrage: Final Boss
The final boss of IWBTB looks intimidating, but hes really a big softy for any lunatic who has made it this far. Well, aside from that whole six minutes of straight danmaku thing.
Total deaths at the start of this stage: 3280. Total time spent playing: 20:53.
Total deaths at time of game completion: 3426. Total time spent playing: 23:59.

I Wanna Be The Barrage is an I Wanna Be The Guy fangame with a danmaku and Touhou twist. The game is broken up into short individual rooms, each containing a unique danmaku pattern that the Kid must survive using his infinite aerial jumps. The difficulty is merely punishing at first, but it steadily grows into an absurdly obscene display of beautiful bullshit. Join me as I journey through the game from start to finish and attempt to explain just what makes everything tick.
If youre interested in trying the game for yourself - and you should be, if only to see if the gameplay clicks for you as much as it did for me and my friends - then you can grab the game from the creators website here: http://saibrwanna.webnode.jp/
