We used to get a new entry in the racing genre every year, but now it feels like the frequency has significantly dropped. We'll look at the current state of car racing games, including fan favorites like Forza Horizon 5 and the future of franchises like Need for Speed. Racing games have fallen off over the past couple of years. Back in the day we used to get a Forza Horizon game like once every two years. We're getting need for Speed games almost every year and we're getting new revolutionary releases like the Crew, where nowadays we get a new Forza Horizon game or crew game like once every four or five years or even more than that. And in the case of need for Speed, they don't even make them anymore. Also back in the day we used to get fun little side games like the Burnout paradise games or the Test Drive games. Like they were all super fun to play and you really don't see those pop up nowadays. And in the more simulation oriented games, we're getting a Forza Motorsport game every couple of years. Gran Turismos were getting pumped out and nowadays we have the new Forza Motorsport which absolutely sucks. And Gran Turismos are still good, but they take like 10 years to make a new one. It just seems like every racing game that comes out nowadays is released and then it gets updated for like five or six years, you know, drip feeding us a little bit of content. Then they finally hit us with a new one where literally 10, 15 years ago, every single year we had multiple big blockbuster like racing games coming out. And now the F1 games really aren't that great. They're basically the same, if not worse, every single year. And yeah, racing games are just in a kind of tough spot because I feel like the market is still definitely there for racing game. People love these games, but I just think they need to make more of them. It's kind of the opposite of the sim racing scene right now. There's so many amazing sim racing games like Assetto Corsa, Assetto Corsa Evo and Rally and then Iracing and all that kind of stuff. And Le Mans ultimate, it seems like there's been this renaissance of sim racing because a lot of people have gotten into it, but it seems like the arcade and open world racing games just got left behind. I still think there's a massive market for these and I really want to see some great new open world racing games come out. I'm hoping Forza Horizon 6 kind of sets off a new era of open world racing games. We're going to see some great ones released, but we're just going to have to see...
