On November 12, 2024, Governor Mike DeWine & ODNR Director Mary Mertz designated Raccoon Creek as Ohio's newest state scenic river. Raccoon Creek is the 16th state scenic river in Ohio and the first in the state's southeastern region, flowing for more that 100 miles.
