The Largest Unsolved Problem in VR. ThrillSeeker 2024-06-02 | Hello. So, this is a bit different. I initially started this video while creating my own VR operating system tech demo. I have always been a bit frustrated with VR user interfaces and the general unintuitive nature of a lot of VR design elements so I spent a few weeks experimenting with different hand menus, passthrough options, feedback methods. At the end of my prototyping phase I had a working demo.. but I wanted to learn more. So, I spoke with a few design experts that specialize in VR design. This lead me down a rabbit hole so deep that I honestly didn't know if I was ever going to make it out. I read as many design books as I possibly could, talked to more design experts and became entrenched in the world of design. This video the result of that deep dive I have been in for the past couple months. Identifying the core principles of design, how it's built the things we have today and how its going to build the things of tomorrow- but i think most importantly with this video- I identify the core issues I have regarding VR design and introduce a set of principles that I strongly believe should guide VR design philosophy in the future. Most importantly; the VR OS Conceptual model. I had an incredible time researching and learning everything I could. It felt amazing to be a sponge and I hope you can walk away from this video with some of the same joy I had in research. I Recreated Apples $3500 Magical VR UI on a Quest Pro ThrillSeeker 2023-06-11 | I see the world is truly going crazy for a VR headset.. and it makes me so incredibly happy. People are REALLY excited for Apple's Vision Pro.. as am I. But after hearing everyone talk about how MAGICAL the UI experience was.. I couldn't help but feel weird.. I NEEDED to try it. Well the headset isn't releasing for another year.. so I decided to take it into my own hands and recreate the Apple Vision Pro's UI on existing hardware, the Meta Quest Pro. Using eye tracking, hand tracking, passthrough and a few days in unity.. I did it. And after testing out the basic UI.. I have a LOT of thoughts on the future UIUX of AR and VR headsets. A PSVR2 review from the POV of a PC VR User ThrillSeeker 2023-03-04 | Hello! Here is my review of the Playstation VR 2.. probably one of the most interesting mainstream VR headset that's released in YEARS... and it's good.. but it is very very far from perfect. I do find it interesting that the PSVR2 is literally the exact opposite of the direction the VR industry seems to be going.. wired, expensive, and high quality. Does it beat or compete with a Quest 2? Eh.. not really.. does it really compete with PCVR and an index or Quest? I'm not sure.. but..IF you can get past the flaws.. The PSVR2 has provided a pretty amazing experience that I'm more than happy with. I feel like my money was spent well. Hopefuly you enjoyed. Let me know what you think about the PSVR2 down below.

FINALLY! A VR headset that’s actually MADE FOR ME ThrillSeeker 2023-02-13 | I HAVE BEEN WAITING TWO YEARS FOR THIS. THIS IS THE BIG SCREEN BEYOND. Almost certainly the headset that will be replacing my Valve index.. but it's not entirely certain yet. Kind of crazy that BigScreen a primarily software company is getting into the hardware business. Fair warning though; this is NOT for everyone. This isn't some mainstream VR headset that is meant for all consumers; it's very niche and pretty much built to JUST BE the best PCVR headset possible. So.. I can respect that.
