Here is a video taken on September 16, 2025, featuring the West 4th Street lower level NYC Subway station on the B, D, F, and M lines!
A train comprising 3 Bombardier Transportstion R62A cars, one St. Louis Car Co. R33S car (also known as the “R33WF”), and one Fuji R58 refuse flatcar was transferred from Corona Yard, off the 7 line, to 239th Street Yard. These cars were previously used for the “7 Ash” garbage collection service, stopping at stations along the Flushing Line and the Astoria Line. More specifically, the R62A cars were sent over during the summer of 2025 to provide crews with comfortable, air-conditioned cars, while the R33S car was likely sent over during the same period to provide extra traction/locomotion for the garbage collection train. With the weather getting cooler and thus the reduced need for air conditioning, the cars are being swapped out with other cars with no air conditioning.
