Snowfall, fog and atmospheric conditions were carefully composited using a segmentation and depth extraction toolkit. Crafting the Horde for The Last of Us S2 | Wētā FX Wētā FX 2025-08-19 | For Wētā FX's work on The Last of Us S2 EP2, just under 30 stunt actors were scanned and used as a reference to build an army of over 1000 infected. Through layering hair and cloth simulations, as well as using Ragdoll Dynamics for natural stumbles and collisions, the horde was able to achieve limitless variation. Every infected was grounded in physical performance capture, keeping the horde frighteningly real. The most complex moment to craft?
