Scene Nedda Tonio Silvio - 1st act
I uploaded this beautiful scene a first time several years ago but as someone pointed out at the time something went wrong in the transfer; the sound is pitched a semitone too high. So this time the complete Nedda/Tonio quarrel with Nedda whipping Tonio's face followed by the love duet Nedda/Silvio is hopefully reproduced correctly.
This scene is taken from a vynil record with the complete I Pagliacci and Cavalleria Rusticana recordings made in 1954 with Maria Callas, Giuseppe Di Stefano, Tito Gobbi and Rolando Panerai. Tulio Serafin conducts the orchestra of the Scala di Milano. Sorry for the cric-crac of the needle here and there but the record is several decades old. It is still a magnificient recording.
