Hmm, so in contrast to the very serious and deep upload for one thousand, this seems shoddy and shallow in comparison. It's not on the same level, I apologize, but I strive to make my amv editing better at the moment. See below.
It's a vent that I've been working on solid for two days, trying out random shit. It's the only thing that's kept me sane with all that's happened. I know I haven't been answering comments or messages for a couple weeks now, but bear with me guys. In a week or so I'll get to them. Besides you wouldn't really want a message from me at the moment. It would be half-assed, and you deserve better then that. I haven't answered the remaining questions in my vlog, and my messages are at least a month backed up. I'm sorry. Thank you to those who have offered me support and kind words over the last few days. It means a lot. Trisha and Tiara you both especially.

As you may have maybe guessed, it's the month I hardcore work on my amvs. This requires your participation [hopefully]. One of the main ways I improve is by taking any critique that I get into mind, but to take critique into mind, there has to be critique in the first place.
So, if you want to, get out your cynical brains, and tell me where I can improve.

[DEATH NOTE SPOILERS YOU HAVE BEEN WARNED]
First off. I would like to say that that hand at the beginning. Thats my hand. Because FCP was being a diva and wouldnt let me keyframe an image properly I threw my own green screen together and did it that way. The green screen was actually purple. Still worked XD. So yes. Its my hand... I did all that XD
Next off. Man. Ive been working on this project for maybe two weeks, more, less? Not really sure. It was really really challenging for me, I dont think Ive ever been so incredibly emotionally involved with an edit. In the beginning I could only work on it for tops 5-6 minutes at a time because I just got way too many feels, and I had to stop otherwise Id just sit and cry and cry and cry in front of my computer. Its hard when your favourite character dies, you know. Really hard.
Right away I want to dedicate this to Trisha. Because quite frankly without you this wouldnt be around. I know, we spent hours musing over a song. And what is this? Not one of the fabulous ones you found for me. However as I was sitting there on the couch a couple days after you left, and suddenly my troll brain was like Haha wouldnt viva la vida fit so well with L, the whole bells ringing theme and all and that was it for me. I had my feels broken, they were all over the floor I swear. Im still picking them up and stitching them together. Ive only really had a couple songs that have hit me like that, once was a NaruGaara project from MONTHS ago when I was still a newb, and I was walking to school one day, and the song came on, and I just stopped in the middle of the sidewalk. I probably looked like a moron but I couldnt move for the life of me XD Luckily no one was around this time to witness the complete and utter shattering of my feels.
So as a result this edit happened. Many tears were shed. Many. L is just one of my favourite anime characters of all time. I mean, who else is boss enough to be not only the world greatest detective, but the second and third too under aliass. :D And all his little idiosyncrasies. Just positively great characterization. I didnt watch this anime for the longest time [until Trisha convinced me to], although, my goodness, boy was I missing out. Its right up there with No.6 on my favourites list. The plot is just incredible, the concept is intriguing, and the ending leaves you with a lot to think about. Its just plain epic.
So, to talk about the edit, [gee I dont really ramble this much, but this is kind of a big deal for me because I was so emotionally tied to it] theres some symbolism. The chess piece, fairly self explanatory, had a lot of fun constructing that, doing something new, something Id never done before. Its not perfect, but what first attempt at something new is.
The puppet on a lonely string lines with the corpses, I guess for me, is how L just became another one of the many innocent people that Kira/Light killed. It was my genius at 4AM this morning as I was working on it :) It also reminds me of Aokigahara. The suicide forest in Japan. I researched it heavily for a short story for English a few months ago, and many who go into that forest as tourist report seeing many nooses in the forest, especially little stick nooses. Theres plenty of other stuff about the forest which is damn creepy, but also insanely interesting. But I wont scare you guys :)
All in all, I really hope you guys enjoy the edit, I put a lot of effort into it, its quite special to me. And I know Ive been uploading a lot recently, but it wont be like that once school starts on the 4th. I have 3 spare blocks, so Ill have time to edit when Im not doing homework for my AP English class :) But who knows.
And again, little early with sub count, but thats ok XD
