Came up with a doublebass/viola theme to build my Tallinn demo upon. This folk-song-kinda theme is to be found in the middle of the piece.
The Orchestral Tools Tallinn VST consists of a full string orchestra, choir (s-a-t-b) and organ. All recorded in the famous St.Nicholas church in Tallinn, Estonia. Well know for its Arvo Part recordings also. I really like the vibe and ambiance this Tallinn VST has. Although, I did add some Fabfilter Cathedral reverb to create even more depth and whith.
The attending video will guide you through 'Rahulik Laul (serene song)' by showing some midi events along with the actual musicians that where recorded for Tallinn. At the end you'll get a Cubase project file overview.
The challenge for me always is to make my vst compositions as real sounding as possible. With Tallinn this is very inspirational, motivating and doable. It feels like all these musicians really are at your fingertips.
I recommend using some fine speakers or headphones to get a good stereo and spectral experience.
Be well,
