🦈 QUINT HAS HEADED FARTHER NORTH
White shark Quint, a sub-adult male measuring 9 feet 8 inches and weighing approximately 587 pounds at the time of tagging, is currently the northernmost white shark in the western North Atlantic on the OCEARCH Global Shark Tracker.
On July 28, Quint pinged inside Hare Bay off Newfoundland’s Great Northern Peninsula, an area only one other OCEARCH-tagged shark, Dold, has previously explored.
Quint’s journey highlights the incredible range of white sharks and the importance of continued tracking to better understand where these apex predators travel and the habitats they rely on.
