A review of the Spyro Reignited Trilogy, a remaster of a classic set of 3D collectathon games from the Playstation 1, that I'd never played until now.
Being much more of a Crash Bandicoot player back in the day, Spyro never really got a look-in for me. I think I had a demo disc with the Artisan homeworld on it at some point? But I really struggled with the controls and never got on with it much as a kiddo, meanwhile Crash's difficulty was no problem for me, weird how things work out.
Anyway, in this review I aim to look at the games from a modern perspective and see if nostalgia is the defining factor that holds it up, or if Spyro deserves his time in the spotlight.

In this final part, we take a quick trip back to the forest for a blue slab well never use, traverse the depths of the Catacombs to fight Pinwheel, clearly the hardest boss in the game, then make some quick skips down the Tomb of the Giants to beat up Nito with our newly crafted divine claymore. After that, we take a detour to Anor Londo to smack Gwyndolin, then finally to the Demon Ruins for Demon Firesage, the Centipede Demon and the Bed of Chaos. Ending of course, with Gwyn.
