The princess of an unnamed European country travels incognito to Africa by ocean liner and goes into the interior on safari (using the pseudonym Jane Higgins). Accompanying her is the villainous hunter “Jungle Harry”. A diplomat from her country asks Tarzan to keep an eye her, so he takes a job as number two safari guide under the name John Clayton. Jungle Harry figures he can use Tarzan as a scapegoat if anything happens to the girl. An Arab sheikh, however, abducts the girl for his harem, and Tarzan must come to the rescue.
