One of the biggest game changers in (my) flying has been the ability to bring up to date @siriusxm_aviation weather data into the cockpit.
Be it via the built-in receiver in the panel of the RV-14, or brought along with a portable unit like the GDL-52 in anything else I fly such as the Super Patriot mkII here.
(it is also awesome that you get back-up AHARS with the GDL-52).
I'm proud to have them as a supporter of the Flight Chops channel.
The case of this flight with Evelyn, it saved some embarrassment when I was able to quickly fix my missed check list item error, before finding myself talking to ATC not being sure what my altitude was.
I'm hosting a webinar later today (Dec 4) to talk through how to leverage this awesome tool.
