Students in Associate Professor of Biology Sarah Blythe’s class have spent Spring Term learning about nutrition while participating in community-based learning. Twice a week they provide educational outreach to local schools through a “pick a better snack” curriculum. Activities include games, story time and getting a chance to sample new food. Through this program, students are able to apply what they are learning in the classroom about nutrition, metabolism and digestive health.
