This quick and easy Halloween Classroom Treat holds a Fruit To Go fruit strip, which makes a nice alternative to candy in the classroom. They are gluten free, nut free and vegan, but still taste great. I bought them individually at the grocery store, but there are other fruit strips available both individual and in multiple strip packages.
To make the treat holder I started with a 4" by 6" paper, and scored with the 4" side up at 1 1/4" and 3". Put tear-and-tape on one long side and one short side. Pull the tape backing, and fold over the side without the adhesive first, then fold over the adhesive side to seal. Put in fruit strip. Punch open end with 1/8" hole punch, and thread through ribbon or twine of choice, and tie a bow. Decorate with 1" by 5" banner flagged at both ends, 1/2" by 4" sentiment banner flagged at both ends, and image. Quick and cute.
