December Queen of the Month: JENNIFER HICKS
Jennifer Hicks was nominated by Julie Di Sensi: "Jennifer Hicks, since 2008, has been integrating her love of dance and movement by teaching and working with the Royal Conservatory's Living Through the Arts and people living with aphasia, brain injuries, and stroke at Baycrest Health Centre's Memory-Link Program, adolescents at the Hospital for Sick Children's Eating Disorders Day Treatment Program, caregivers and clients at the Alzheimer Society of Toronto, adolescents with mental health concerns at New Outlook, and people with mental health needs at The Residences on Bayview and CAMH. She is a Size Inclusive Fitness Specialist and a Health At Every Size informed instructor and a proud member of the Association for Size Diversity and Health Community. Jennifer Hicks is an advocate for women of all sizes, all races, all ages. She is constantly challenging herself to learn, study and research to be the best for her clients. She cares. Anyone who has had the pleasure and privilege of attending one of Jennifer's classes leaves feeling empowered with a better sense of well-being. She has had a positive impact on all her students. I have been dancing with Jennifer since 2008 and I always leave with a smile and appreciation of my body and what it can do. Jennifer is an exceptional QUEEN!"
