The budget cuts are here, and what they did for this round floored me. After 20 years of working as a caregiver, I was told my client/ partner would no longer be provided with supplies for his wound care at home! To "save money" they now require a nurse, paid at $35/ hour to come to his home instead of letting me do it for free. Let me explain why having a nurse come over every day is a problem, besides that it won't save them any money.
