Often something that comes up when talking about rules for competition in lightsaber is if the rule set is "realistic" or not. This is often due to the various levels of abstraction one sees in different approaches. All rule sets are valid and will impart important skills to you through the competitive act, not because the rules are particularly good at recreating reality.
