The probabilistic aspects of Quantum Theory seem to undermine Classical Determinism. In addition, wave phenomena exhibit a curious time-frequency ambiguity. In the context of wave-particle duality this leads to the Uncertainty Principle. As a matter of principle it is not possible to predict both the time a photon will arrive at a detector and the energy it will deliver with arbitrary precision.
