This is part 20 of my 100% playthrough of Quake II on the Nintendo 64. This is not an emulator. This footage was captured directly from my Nintendo 64 using a real Quake II cartridge. I'm playing on hard difficulty.
In this final part I completed Level O: Twists.
This is a bonus level that is accessed with the following password: FVBS LBBB 7VBC 3BGB. The game gives you the password after you complete Level 19: Command Core.
The bonus level is arguably the hardest stage in the game. You have to defeat four Gladiators and two Hornets within 1 minute and 40 seconds, and you have no time to spare. If by some miracle you manage to beat the level, the game then trolls you by asking if you can beat it with just the Blaster.
Recorded with the Hauppauge HD PVR and the official N64 S-video cable. I used a Toshiba model D-R550 DVD Recorder to upconvert the N64's native 240p signal to 480i so that the Hauppauge could capture the console's audio/video signal.
I'm using a standard Nintendo 64 controller.
