This is a full longplay of Blood II: The Chosen, first person shooter developed by Monolith Productions and released in 1998. I have installed some mods and fixes created by fans to be able to play it at 4K resolution, widescreen and AI enhanced textures, all this gives the game a HD remaster look, and I think visually it looks great.
The game changes a lot from its predecessor, from a completely new engine, the LithTech developed by Monolith itself, to the setting, which takes place a century later, in the future. These changes, along with having a more linear and “modernized” gameplay and being plagued with bugs from its release, created a lot of discontent among fans of the original.
Personally, it has been interesting to replay it to make this video, because I hadn't played the whole game since 2001 (which was when I was able to play it). I think it's not a bad game, but you can see in many things that it was made in a hurry (released in only 1 year compared to the previous one), and despite supposedly playing the latest version (the one on GOG), it still has bugs. And I've noticed things in the game a bit strange, like there seems to be localized damage on enemies but it doesn't always work.
Since I haven't played it for a long time, I play in what would be the normal difficulty “homicide”. This mode is really quite difficult, because from the level of the cathedral, at the end of the first chapter, there is a big increase in difficulty. The enemies are harder, and you have to be very careful because they react very fast and in a few seconds you will be dead if you are careless. Something I noticed, trying it on the easiest difficulty, is that in “homicide” the enemies have and cause like double or triple damage. The difference is huge. I don't want to imagine how it will be on the hardest difficulty.
Anyway, this longplay does not pretend to be perfect, nor the fast one (I never play speedrun mode) surely is not the best on YouTube, but it is my humble gameplay of a game that I wanted to revisit, even if it is not the best that Monolith has done, a company that I personally always liked a lot.

A little video playing the Quake 2 PSX mod for the PC Enhanced Edition with the CRT filter that can be activated in the options, which shows the game in low resolution and with scanlines. Also, I have disabled most of the visual enhancements and set it to 30 fps, like the original game.
In this gameplay I play the entire first unit of maps this way. Since this campaign was from a version of the game played on CRT TVs from the 90's, I thought it was funny to show it like this, but playing it on a modern PC (and recorded at 4K). It's nice to have the possibility to play it with a retro visual style.

Duake is a mod for Quake that allows us to play with the Doomguy from Doom in Quake, and as such, we will play with his weapons and items. Besides that, there are also some changes and additions to the maps, but nothing that changes them drastically.
One thing I liked is the colored lighting, something that you could already get with other mods, but in this one is better than in the ones I've tried, approaching the atmosphere of Quake 64, only darker.
About the secrets, I missed one in the 2nd map, because it should be added, since I get all the ones that were original to the game.

Gameplay trying the first missions of Starship Troopers, a game developed by Strangelite Studio released in 2005 for PC, which is a videogame adaptation of the 1998 movie of the same name. The game follows events from the movie, and we will have to complete missions with a common denominator: kill lots of giant bugs.
The game is not very good, but it can be interesting for fans of the movie (I'm not one of them, I never liked it too much, but I was curious to try this game). The main problem I see is that already in the first missions it becomes very monotonous to kill so many bugs, and the big ones take forever to fall.
I play it in Windows 11, and it works without problems applying some fixes. In this gameplay I show it at 4K and 60 fps. In a certain well known abandonware website you can download a ready-made version (the game is not sold anymore).
Note: between the missions are interspersed cinematics that are scenes taken directly from the movie, so I had to skip them for copyright issues.

Gameplay of Soul Reaver, second installment of the Legacy of Kain saga, developed by Crystal Dynamics and released in 1999. This is the Dreamcast version, released a year later, emulated with the Flycast core in RetroArch, and with the HD Remaster mod made by fans, which greatly improves the quality of the textures.
I play it at 4K and 60 fps, and I have activated the widescreen patch available from the emulator itself for the European version of the game. This patch causes some popping on the sides sometimes, but much less than if you activate the widescreen option of the emulator.
To say that I don't have too much experience with this game, in fact in this gameplay is the furthest I've gotten in the game so far, so I hope fans of the saga will forgive me for the clumsiness.
Recently an official remaster of the first two Soul Reaver was announced, so perhaps as of today it's best to wait for said remaster.
The mod comes with the Flycast emulator already included (not the game, it has to be provided by the player). I use the RetroArch version because the standalone version was giving me some framerate problems.

Gameplay of Marathon: 2 Durandal, the sequel to the Bungie game for Mac, released in 1995. Like the previous one, that I showed yesterday, this one can also be downloaded for free on Steam, and comes with the Aleph One source port, which allows you to play in HD and on current PCs, plus you can also download for free a HD texture pack of the version released for Xbox 360 on Xbox Live Arcade.
This gameplay is a first contact, testing the game, which I had never played before (you can see that I get an achievement that is simply fulfilling the first main objective). As such, I don't know the levels, and I'm not very good playing it, especially the last level I play, of the sewer type, one of those labyrinthine ones with water, which are the ones that make you want to send a game to hell.
I found the previous one interesting, this one is more of the same, but honestly, I don't think it's very good, it's certainly not up to the best MS-DOS shooters of its time. I guess it was successful on Mac because there was less games of this type. But well, let's use this video to make it known, being free it deserves a try.

The game isn't bad, it's entertaining for 90's FPS fans, and you can see that it wasn't trying to be a mere clone, with things like a story of some importance during the game and with objectives to accomplish. But the control has too much inertia and is a bit uncomfortable to play, so is worse than Doom in the gameplay aspect.

Gameplay of the first 3 maps of the first episode of Hands of Necromancy II, sequel to the 2022 fantasy FPS developed by HON Team with the GZDoom engine that was inspired by the classics Heretic and Hexen. The first was a pretty solid game for those looking for something similar to the Raven classics, and this one is more of the same, though of course with new features, including a new character with her own arsenal of magical weapons. Also noteworthy in its gameplay are the transformations and the possibility of resurrecting enemies to fight on our side.
Thanks to a key provided by Fulqrum Publishing I have been able to play the game in its beta version. The game goes on sale on September 16.

Full gameplay of the campaign of Jurassic: The Hunted for PlayStation 3, a first-person shooter released in 2009 and developed by Cauldron HQ. I play it on the RPCS3 emulator at 4K (actually a little less, as I comment later) and at 120 fps (although in the video you can only see 60 fps).
Until yesterday before recording this video I had no idea of the existence of this game, until I saw it mentioned on a website, and it caught my attention for being an FPS with dinosaurs, a combination that is always cool (see the Turok saga or Peter Jackson's King Kong). So I was interested in trying it on the PS3 emulator, and after configuring it properly for the game, I started to play it recording a gameplay for the channel, and... I finished it. The campaign lasts what you see, 2 hours, and I haven't been killed once.
No wonder I didn't know of its existence, for two reasons: one is that it didn't come out here in Europe, only in the US, the other is that well, it's a totally forgettable game. It's not that it's terribly bad, you can play it quite well and it doesn't give time to get repetitive (even though it is) since it only lasts 2 hours. The best thing is undoubtedly the theme and the setting. Anyway, when you finish it, a hard mode is unlocked, and it also has a “survivor” mode, which can give you a few more hours, but I don't think many more.
About emulation, these are the only options I have changed from the default settings:
Write color buffers: on (fixes excessive brightness in one of the advanced levels). Resolution scale: 275% (3520x1980) VBlank frequency: 120hz
The first level is at 300% resolution scale, which is 4K, from there I had to lower it to 275% because otherwise the game would crash when loading the next levels. But you don't notice that it's a little lower resolution than 4K. About VBlank, by default the game runs at 60 fps, if that value is raised to 120hz, the game runs at 120 fps stable with an i9-13900K and RTX 4090.A day like no other map by Venzen - a QUAKE experience like no other - 4K playthroughDARTHVR2024-09-09 | (English below) Gameplay completo del mapa "A day like no other" por Venzen, un interesante experiencia diferente a lo que estamos acostumbrados con Quake.
-----------------------------
I was always curious to try the 3DFX version of Blood, several times I tried to run it on other versions of DOSBox or on PCem without success, but finally I managed to do it with DOSBox Staging, after some tinkering. Unfortunately, the 3DFX version is extremely unstable, you can see throughout the video that it crashes easily with a memory error. I've checked and I think this is a patch issue and not an emulation issue, and well, we are warned at the beginning that the patch is in alpha version (and it never went beyond that).
Anyway, this is just a curiosity, because obviously nowadays with source ports you can get something similar and with mods much better, as you can see in this video:
Even so, I have to say that for me this version of 3DFX graphically has a certain charm with that low quality filtering and dithering.
----------------------------
Well, with the sequel to this 2011 third-person action game about to be released, I remembered that I've had it in my Steam library for a while now, and I've never played it. I download it, run it... and it crashes as soon as it starts. There's no way to run it, some problem with the amount of cores of the CPU. So I asked myself how the PS3 version would run on the RPCS3 emulator, and in this video it's the answer.
I've set it to 4K and the Vblank to 240hz (so that it runs at 120fps at most). The game oscillates between 40 and 120 fps with an i9-13900K, RTX 4090 and 64GB of RAM 6600Mhz. It's very demanding in its emulation, I guess that's why the emulator marks its compatibility as ‘ingame’ only. Otherwise, it seems to work fine, although the colours look strange, it's as if the game is only 16-bit colour, I don't know if this is a problem of the emulation or if it was like that on the console.Vinyl Goddess from Mars (1995) Episode I: Forests of Old playthrough - playing good MS-DOS games 21DARTHVR2024-09-03 | (English below) Gameplay completo del primer episodio de Vinyl Goddess from Mars, juego de plataformas para MS-DOS lanzado en 1995 desarrollado por Six Pound Sledge Studios, considerado el sucesor espiritual de Jill of the Jungle.

Full gameplay of the first episode of Vinyl Goddess from Mars, a platform game for MS-DOS released in 1995 developed by Six Pound Sledge Studios, considered the spiritual successor of Jill of the Jungle.
I thought I'd give this game a try, I'd never played it before (except for the first 3 levels before record the video), and it turned out to be a pretty good platformer. Nice graphics, decent controls, good level design, cool music... Not that it has anything that hasn't been seen in hundreds of platformers of the time, but it's pretty fun.
I play it in DOSBox Staging, where the game runs very smooth if you have a VRR enabled screen, it's something you can't see in the video because MS-DOS games were mostly running at 70hz and Youtube doesn't allow videos over 60 fps (as far as I know). By the way, I recommend configuring the controls of the game with a gamepad with the mapper function that is configured with CTRL+F1, so it plays much better.

I've known about this mod for a long time, but I hadn't brought it yet because I didn't know how to make the gameplay for the channel. In the end I decided to bring this one in which I try all the new episodes included in this mod, plus several game modes and a bit of L.A. Meltdown. Because this mod in addition to the new maps, allows you to play the classic episodes with the additions of this mod, plus an arena mode that is similar to a multiplayer with bots, and a kind of roguelite in which we play randomly a selection of 200 maps created by the community. As you can see, as of today this mod has a lot of content.
To play this mod, just download it (link at the end of the description), run eduke32.exe and select Alien Armageddon in the launcher. DUKE3D.GRP file from the original game is needed for it to work.

I remember that it was said that this port for PC in its original version of that year was disastrous, because it gave many problems and it was difficult to make it work, already at that time. So out of curiosity I tried it on PCem and as you can see in the video, it works without problems, at least as far as I've played it.
Metal Gear Solid for PC is currently sold on GOG. I haven't tried that version, but it's supposed to work on current PCs. Supposedly... not always the case with GOG versions especially on W10 and 11. So in this video I show this alternative way of getting it to work. Of course, there is also the easier and faster possibility to play the PSX version on the Duckstation emulator.Catacomb Abyss 3D longplay - 4K with CatacombGL - finished the first time I played it - MS-DOS 20DARTHVR2024-08-01 | (English below) Longplay de Catacomb Abyss, segundo juego de la saga Catacomb, lanzado en 1992 por Softdisk Publishing.

Gameplay of the first two missions of TimeSplitters: Future Perfect, developed by Free Radical and released in 2005, in its Xbox version in the Xemu emulator. It is the third installment of the TimeSplitters trilogy appeared in the PS2-Xbox-GC generation and console exclusive (almost, except in a special case that I will show soon). I bought this game for my Gamecube, but I never got to play it too much.
I play it on the Xemu emulator version v0.7.127. It seems well emulated as far as I've played except for one thing. Two actually. One is that the lens flares are missing. It's not something you notice unless you know they were there in the game played on console, but I find it curious how, since always, emulators have had a hard time emulating certain effects like lens flares. The other thing is that the emulator suffers in performance with this game if you increase the resolution to more than x2 with respect to the original, not going at a perfect 60 fps, even with a very powerful PC like mine (i9-13900K and RTX 4090).
It is best to emulate this game in any of the other two versions: PS2 on PCSX2 and GC on Dolphin. I think this Xbox version has best textures with a little more resolution than the others, but as the emulator prevents to enable anisotropic filtering, all the textures that are tilted will look worse than in the other two emulators, where you can activate it.Catacomb 3-D in 4K with CatacombGL - predecessor to Wolfenstein 3D - Playing good MS-DOS games 19DARTHVR2024-07-28 | (English below) Gameplay de Catacomb 3-D, juego de acción en primera persona de temática fantástica desarrollado por id Software y lanzado en 1991.

This is a very special game for me, as it was the 3rd game I played, and the first one I bought with my own money, at about 9 years old. So I wanted to make a longplay for the channel. I played it several times until I managed to finish it without using any continue.
I hadn't played it for a long time, and back in the day, being still a novice in this videogame thing, I could only finish it with the help of a friend in cooperative, or with the famous “Konami code”, the cheat that gave you 20 lives if I remember correctly. I mean, I've never really been an expert in the game, so this gameplay doesn't pretend to show a perfect gameplay, and there will be tens or hundreds of longplays of this game on Youtube that do it better, but this is my gameplay, and at least I offer it with very good visual quality.
Speaking of which, it's recorded in 4K and I use a shader that softens the graphics a bit and imitates a CRT effect, which I think looks very good. For it to look good I recommend watching the video on a monitor in fullscreen. By the way, I play it in RetroArch with the Mesen core.Wizordum: Episode 1 4K playthrough - inspired by early PC 3D shooters of the 1990sDARTHVR2024-07-25 | 00:00:00 E1M1 Grimbrook Outskirts 00:11:57 E1M2 Canal Streets 00:35:43 BONUS Hunting Grounds 00:38:06 E1M3 Murky Wastes 01:26:18 E1M4 Mourning Grounds 02:23:19 E1M5 Grim Haven 03:14:39 E1M6 City of Ember 04:30:49 BOSS: Ashes to Ashes

Wizordum is a very classic style first person shooter that is currently in early access, and at the time of publishing this video are available the first two episodes of the 3 planned. This is a complete gameplay of the first one (maybe I have left a zone or a small secret level in the 5th level). I play in a difficulty above normal (master) and I try to show all the secrets I can, which are almost all.
This game is inspired by the first FPS appeared in the early 90's for MS-DOS as Wolfenstein 3D and Catacomb 3-D (especially the latter, as is well hinted in 30:33). The feeling of playing one of those games is very well achieved, but of course with a better gameplay and control, and a more advanced engine (it's grid-like as those games were, but with several layers). It also borrows elements from other shooters of the time a little later as Heretic in the aspect of the items that we can accumulate, and in general in the phantasy aspect reminds a lot too.
I must admit that although I knew about it, I left it a little aside, at least until it was out of early access. The thing is that many games of this style are coming out lately (which I think is great) and you can't play everything. But Apogee, the publisher of the game, offered me a key, and I didn't miss the opportunity to try it.
From what I've played in this first episode, I liked it a lot, it's fun, it combines classic elements with some more modern ones (for example, the treasures are not only for scoring, but also to buy upgrades), the level design is good, and personally what I liked the most is the pixelated, colorful and “gridded” visual aspect that I find pleasant and sometimes colorful.
(English below) Gameplay completo de The Nightmare Levels, la expansión de Blood II: The Chosen, lanzada en 1999.
---------------
Full gameplay of The Nightmare Levels, the expansion of Blood II: The Chosen, released in 1999. I play it at 4K and with an AI-enhanced texture mod that gives them a sharper look.
It's the first time I play it. I found it to be a very mediocre expansion, if that's what it is, because with only 5 short levels, this has litlle of an expansion. And the levels are pretty poor in general. The first one is funny because it's based on the first Blood, but the rest, meh. Anyway, I was curious to play it, but I didn't feel like doing it on normal difficulty as the base game to go back through its unbalanced difficulty and the enemies that are sponge of bullets, so I play it on easy difficulty this time.

Second level of the first episode of Supplice, a classic style first person shooter developed by Mekworx and made with GZDoom. This is a totally "blind" gameplay, without having previously played this map, and still I get 100% of secrets, terminals and items.
You can complete this map without having seen it all, because there is an optional area, which leads you to several secrets. You just have to be a little observant, because you realize that there are some locked doors with a green key, and of course, you understand that there must be something else. Personally I like it when a map offers optional areas to explore.
Gameplay of the first level of the first episode of Supplice, a new classic style FPS being developed by Mekworx with the GZDoom engine. It is currently in early access, and has 3 of 6 episodes planned. The release of the full version would be later this year.
I was contacted by Hyperstrange, publisher of the game, and they offered me a key so I could try it. And I was delighted, because as a fan of Doom and GZDoom, I was following it closely, but I was waiting for it to come out of early access to buy it. So thanks to this I'm playing it earlier. Although I had already played the demo months ago so I could try it a little bit, so I know that I would like it.
In this video I show the complete first level. It's the first time I play it (this map wasn't in the demo, and anyway I didn't remember enough the two it had), so I only show the secrets I'm able to find, without looking for them too much so the video doesn't get too long (I get 7/9, I think it's not bad). My intention is to upload some more, probably the whole 1st episode, the others will depend on the interest I see.
As far as I know there are people from the Doom community involved in this, so the developers understand how a classic style shooter should be, and it shows. The gameplay is quite reminiscent of Doom in fact, in that aspect it seems almost like a Total Conversion, and I don't say that as a bad thing. In fact you can't jump, which will seem strange to some.
Overall, everything in this game is reminiscent of a 90's shooter (with some modern touches, of course). The game is fun and the action feels good. But undoubtedly what I like most is the level design, with its complex design, but not only in the playable, also in the visual, showing structures of some complexity and several floors, you can tell that its developers have a great knowledge of GZDoom.

I continue testing games on the Xbox Xemu v0.7.127 emulator (I have been given by that now), and another one I had to try is one of my favorite video games of all time, Half-Life 2. Although I played the PC version first a few days after its release in 2004 (20 years already!), I also bought and played this port for the first Microsoft's console (I was such a fan).
This port seems to me very meritorious, although obviously the graphics had to be downgraded compared to PC (it is very noticeable especially in the textures and lack of detail in some of the large scenarios), and the game ran at 30 fps with dips. However, they managed to include the entire campaign, even with some extra intermediate load, but unlike other PC to Xbox ports that suffered severe cuts in their campaigns, such as Doom 3 (because of the low amount of RAM of the console).Grabbed by the Ghoulies (2003) 4K longplay walkthrough on Xemu Xbox emulator - all 100 books!DARTHVR2024-07-05 | 00:00:00 Logos and intros 00:05:03 Chapter one - The Rescue 00:34:13 Chapter two - The Restoration 02:07:51 Chapter three - The Riddle 03:49:42 Chapter four - The Reckoning 03:59:21 Chapter five - The Race

Full 4K gameplay of the story mode of Grabbed by the Ghoulies, an action-adventure game developed by Rare Limited for Microsoft's first Xbox console. In my opinion it's not one of their best games, even so, it's quite fun and with humor and a visual style that reminds me a lot of their work in the N64 era. As far as I know, this game was initially going to be released for Gamecube.
In the game we take control of Cooper, a teenager who wanders into the mysterious mansion of a wacky baron, seeking refuge with his girlfriend, who is kidnapped. The mansion is full of evil creatures of all kinds with which we must fight to rescue her. Occasionally we will meet friendly characters who will lend us their help.
The game is basically a beat'em up with touches of adventure. The control is a bit strange, because to hit you don't use the buttons but the right stick. This game would have benefited from a little more exploration of the mansion, whose passage through its rooms is completely guided, and some more variety of rooms, some are repeated several times throughout the game, which is not characterized by being very long. What I like most about the game is its colorful and humorous cartoon style, along with Grant Kirkhope's music, which you identify immediately with Rare.
Testing games in the Xemu emulator, I saw that this is one of the best emulated games, so I decided to play it and bring the gameplay to the channel. I have this original game bought back in the day, although I didn't get to play it too much then. The gameplay doesn't pretend to be perfect, but I have played the game once before to find the 100 books that are more or less hidden in each room we visit, and that unlock challenges, so it could be considered a kind of walkthrough.
About the emulation, in general good, perhaps missing some unimportant visual effect, but the worst thing is that it slows down at times due to the poor optimization of the emulator. It is not because of my PC, because with an i9-13900K and a RTX 4090, the game should be perfectly smooth. Played with Xemu v0.7.127.

--------------------------
Gameplay testing Doom 3: Resurrection of Evil original Xbox version on Xemu emulator v0.7.127. The Doom 3 expansion was released as a standalone game, unlike on PC which needs the base game to run.
If you have seen the previous video testing Doom 3 on Xemu, this expansion has similar problems in the emulation, most notably the sound, plus some transparencies. Because of this, when using the gravitational weapon (good copy they made of Half-Life 2), a huge black circle covers a large part of the screen, this makes it very difficult to beat the first boss, as you have to throw plasma balls from the turrets, and it is difficult to hit him, I do it on one occasion by pure chance. So, I leave the Resurrection of Evil gameplay there.
Then, I start to play the classic Doom that were included in this disc, because given the short duration of this expansion, as a juicy extra they added the classic Doom games, more specifically The Ultimate Doom, Doom II and The Master Levels. This is no small thing, because as far as I know, in the "128 bits" generation the classic Doom could only be played on Xbox with this disc. This makes that the Doom saga was exclusive of Xbox on consoles that generation.

---------------------------
Gameplay testing Doom 3 in its first Xbox version on the Xemu v0.7.127 emulator, running at 6x resolution compared to the original. Visually the emulation is quite correct, only seems to have problems with some transparencies, most notably when we are damaged, the screen goes black. Unfortunately, the sound emulation is a disaster, being a rather annoying cacophony of all the sounds that are supposed to sound at every moment.
Doom 3 was only released on consoles on Microsoft's first console during the so-called "128-bit" generation, as it was the most powerful and the only one capable of running the game, albeit with hard sacrifices. Technically it was impressive, even though the Xbox hardware was inferior to what the game required to run. The most noticeable graphical downgrade was in the textures, which were worse than on PC.
However, something much more important had to be sacrificed due to the low RAM memory of the console (only 64MB), and that is the level design. Many of the maps had to be redesigned and significantly trimmed compared to the PC version, and those that could not be trimmed directly were removed. As a result, the game is quite shorter than the PC original, as well as being much more linear. In any case, it is an interesting version to see how they made it work.

------------------
One hour of gameplay of the recently released remake of Riven. This is a complete remake of the 1997 game, which was a sequel to the remembered Myst. The original game was played by "slideshow", that is to say, it was based on prerendered images. This remake converts the graphics to 3D while preserving the original look of the game, with the Unreal engine. In addition, it can be played in virtual reality. I have to "dust off" my Oculus Rift S and try it....
I play it at 4K with the graphics maxed out with an RTX 4090. There are parts of the video that look at 30 fps, it's a recording thing (I don't know if I'll ever figure out why this happens). What is not from the recording is the stuttering and quite noticeable jerks that the game has, something usual unfortunately of the Unreal engine. In addition, there is texture popping.
I didn't play too much of the original game, but from what I remember, besides the graphics, there are changes in the game itself, at least things changed places.DOOM 3: Phobos Episode 3: Collapse playthrough 4KDARTHVR2024-06-29 | (English below) Gameplay completo del tercer episodio de Phobos, una campaña hecha por fans para Doom 3 que combina la tradicional jugabilidad de Doom con un fuerte componente narrativo.
Full gameplay of the third episode of Phobos, a fan-made campaign for Doom 3 that combines traditional Doom gameplay with a strong narrative component. This third episode, released recently, is the longest and the best so far, which is saying something because the previous ones were already good. Together they form the best fan-made campaign for Doom 3, the levels are up to par and even surpass those of the original game, with excellent gameplay and visual design. The "walking simulator" parts can get a bit long, but they tell a story that becomes more and more interesting.
The mod is about to conclude in a 4th episode, which I guess it will be published in the next few years. It will be a long wait, but it will be worth it seeing the quality so far.

Full gameplay of the second episode of Doom 3: Phobos, a fan-made campaign of great quality that combines the well known Doom 3 style levels with a deep story told in a "walking simulator" style. This second episode, called Disruption, is better than the previous one, with a great level design and a very careful visual design, and there are even some complex puzzles. In addition, we have the appearance of a big old acquaintance that we missed in the original game. The campaign and story continue in Episode 3, released recently.
The mod only works on classic Doom 3 with the expansion, not with the BFG Edition nor the dhewm3 source port. I play it with the GOG version. Here is how to play Doom 3 in 4K and widescreen:

Full gameplay of the championship mode of POD in its Gold version, futuristic racing game developed by Ubisoft and released in 1997. This game boasted in its day to take advantage of the Pentium MMX technology. I play it on PCem emulating a Pentium 233 MMX and a 3DFX Voodoo card. Default difficulty (easy, I don't have much experience with this game).
For some reason, the emulator showed the game with scanlines, even though I didn't configure it that way and anyway there is no option in the emulator itself for that, so I don't know what the reason is, but as the resolution of the game is 640x480, I think it looks good.
This game is currently sold on GOG and can be played at a higher resolution, but I wanted to play it as close to how it was played back in the day. I didn't get to own it, but I did try a demo that came with a magazine, and although I bought it on GOG, I had barely played it until now..
