We flew 3,000 miles to New York City to find out! We tried their famous Legendary Mutton Chop and the massive 26-ounce T-bone steak, went behind the scenes into the historic Lincoln Room, and checked out the historic Lincoln Flag — a preserved $525,000 piece of American history. Burnt Bean Co. was named the best BBQ joint in the entire state of Texas by Texas Monthly, beating out over 300 legendary spots across the Lone Star State.
We arrived with less than 30 minutes to spare before closing, with items already selling out and the staff winding down — but nothing was going to stop us from trying the food that earned Ernest Servantes and Dave Kirkland every major culinary award going. We tackled brisket, melt-in-your-mouth beef cheek pastrami, pork ribs, brisket tacos, cowboy beans, bacon ranch taters, and pickle pasta salad — at a restaurant that didn't just top the Texas Monthly BBQ list, but made their Best Taquerias list and caught the attention of the Michelin Guide! We even got a rare look inside the smokers to see how the magic happens.

There's no version of Medieval Times in the UK — no knights, no horses, no full dinner built around a jousting tournament. So when half the Americans we asked called it unmissable and the other half said they wouldn't go if you paid them, we had to see which side was right. We got knighted (well, one of us did), ate an entire meal with our hands, picked a team we didn't choose, and found out our knight was less "noble hero" and more "lovable cheat." Along the way: a castle full of gift shops, a flagon of ale that cost more than it should have, and a very real question about whether two grown adults with no children were about to feel very out of place. Here's what it actually costs, whether it's worth it, and whether we'd go back.

🤗 What happens when one of Britain’s most famous television personalities opens a country pub? 🍻🇬🇧
In this video, two Brits visit Jeremy Clarkson’s pub, The Farmer’s Dog, tucked away in the scenic Oxfordshire countryside near Diddly Squat Farm. Love him or hate him, Clarkson never does things by halves — especially with his strict policy of serving exclusively British-grown produce and Hawkstone on tap.
We ordered a proper British countryside feast to see what the food is really like: chicken liver pâté with onion chutney, slow-roasted pork belly with cider gravy, and a traditional steak pie with mashed potatoes and rich Hawkstone gravy. For dessert, we tackled the legendary chuckleberry bread and butter pudding alongside the pear and toffee tart.
Is The Farmer’s Dog worth the massive queues and global hype, or is it just a novelty tourist trap? Here is our honest, unfiltered review!
