Lucys Corsetry Everyday is an Occasion for Corsets (or NO Occasion)
Hey everyone, continuing with day 20 of "30 days of corsets", this week's question is what kind of occasion I prefer to wear my corsets. Extending on this idea, if you're a daily / lifestyle corset wearer, you can look at it in two different ways: either every day is an occasion to get dressed up, or nothing is an occasion (or an excuse) to NOT wear a corset.

When I was waist training, I preferred the latter mindset - if someone were to ask me how many days out of the year I wore socks, or put my hair in a braid, I would have no idea because it's just what I do on autopilot on most days.... and I tend to think that the same mindset would be best with corsets as well. If you're constantly obsessing about how many hours you have to keep it on or when you're going to see results, you're going to get mentally fatigued and disenchanted with corsetry sooner or later.

If you think of corsets as just another clothing you happen to wear every day (in a neutral to positive light), the more consistent you'll be with it, and the best chance you have for success.

Hey everyone, continuing with day 20 of "30 days of corsets", this week's question is what kind of occasion I prefer to wear my corsets. Extending on this idea, if you're a daily / lifestyle corset wearer, you can look at it in two different ways: either every day is an occasion to get dressed up, or nothing is an occasion (or an excuse) to NOT wear a corset.

Wild Rose Atelier Sweetheart Busk Unboxing! 💗 | Lucys Corsetry

Lucys Corsetry 2021-02-16 | This week I have a treat, it's an unboxing of a surprise gift from Rebecca Balfour of Wild Rose Atelier. The only thing I knew about it was "it includes a busk" and she asked me the first initial of my husband's name, as well as my address.

I honestly had no idea the incredible amount of work and personalization that would go into this, but the final reveal was breathtaking! So much thoughtfulness and care was put into choosing the swatches, the color scheme, the pyrography designs, even the type of wood and the pressed flowers used.

I love the little "sweetheart" top of the busk as well, it's a barely perceptible detail that you only see when you look at it close-up, and so very sweet.

Beyond creating busk displays, Rebecca is a highly skilled corsetiere who specializes in support corsets for those with hypermobility and chronic back pain, as well as waterproof bathing corsets, couture / bridal, and everything in between.

Lucys Corsetry 2020-08-18 | I have about a dozen different corset relacing tutorials on my channel, but some folks struggle with spacial awareness and I've been hearing that some tailors will charge like $20 for the 10 minute job to relace someone's corset, and I was like "well that won't do."

Here is a deceptively simple technique to relace your corset:
Step 1: Staple your new lacing to your old lacing.
