Globally Controlled Quantum Simulation on Atom Devices:
Analog quantum devices, like those developed at QuEra and Pasqal, offer the unique capability of efficient control of all of the qubits simultaneously, referred to as global control. What types of computations are possible with such devices has been an open question until now. We have demonstrated that in theory these devices can, in principle, do any computation, and in practice we demonstrate this by realizing a novel, unanticipated operation relevant for material simulations.
