My favourite coffee in Tokyo! Koffee Mameya Gordons Travel Tips 2024-10-15 | Whenever I visit Tokyo, I make a pilgrimage to Koffee Mameya in Ometesando (near Shibuya and Harajuku). It's a tiny store that specialises in selling curated bags of the best coffee beans from around the World, but they'll also make you a brew to enjoy in the shop. It's tiny with no seating and only room for about four or five people standing at the counter, so it's not a cafe you hang around in; plus you may be queuing outside for your turn. But if you're really into speciality coffee, the experience is amazing, discussing the kind of flavours you enjoy with the expert baristas (who speak excellent English). Then Gotokuji Temple is for you, on the outskirts of Tokyo, about half an hour train journey from the centre. Go to Miyanosaka station on the Tokyu Setagaya line, or Gotokuji station on the Odakyu line.
