Trident ROV Dive #1 - Saquish MA Currents Fishing 2018-11-10 | We take the Trident underwater ROV for its first dive to learn the controls. First dive site is in 20 ft of water off saquish massachusetts in October of 2018. The weather was overcast and was breezy so not high light conditions. We also did not upgrade the controller firmware to take advantage of 1080p video. This video is completely out of the box 780p with no color correction to give you a sense on what the drone can handle. We were able to quickly get into some sea life and find lobsters, crabs, flounder, skate, sea pearch. This ramp is accessible at all tides with a mean low water of 4ft. The area of pleasant bay, chatham inlet and the north cut are extremely tidal dependent and contains many low water shoals and fast moving tides that require a knowledge of the area. The ramp is an ideal launch spot to target the tuna grounds each of Chatham including crab ledge, the BC buoy and the regal sword. Access out of pleasant bay and into the Atlantic via the north cut or chatham inlet. Canadian Towing Currents Fishing 2018-10-23 | When a local accidentally misplaces a brand new Dodge Ram into the harbor the tuna fleet mobilizes to remove the hazard from the narrow fast moving inlet of North Lake. The fleet uses boats to move the submerged truck across the harbor so a boom truck can safely remove it. The fast moving water, and narrow inlet make it a tough job.
PEI: Attempt to tuna fish in a gale Currents Fishing 2018-10-18 | PEI Day 3: We awoke to howling winds putting the final day of fishing at risk. The plan was simple fish tight to shore, in moderate sea conditions, get tight and be in before the gale came. Dead Finback Whale Washes Up On Duxbury Beach - What to do now? Currents Fishing 2018-08-22 | On Monday August 20th 2018 a deceased finback whale washed ashore on one of Massachusetts busiet beaches after strong northeasterly winds. Duxbury officials did a remarkable job removing the 55ft carcass over the span of 24 hours.. The New England Aquarium performed a necropsy and the cause of death is still unknown, but it is believe the whale was dead for 2-3 days prior to washing ashore.
