Today I am burning the background cliff for my master copy of " The Magic Circle" by John Williams Waterhouse, 1886. The cliffs are more blurry & painterly so I want to make sure and capture that aspect. My portrait is of a beautiful woman in nature. She is standing with her face & body in a profile pose, so this means less focus on facial details. I will be focusing on recreating the paint textures using pyrography.
I am burning an an18" x12" basswood board.
