And here is the reason why I haven't uploaded for a month. A project I put too much time into! My own rhythm game!
Download: github.com/A2sourceReleases/Py-Mania/releases
Py-Mania is an 8-key rhythm game written in Python. It is designed to be played with the numpad, but keybinds can be customised (and are not numpad by default). The game comes with 4 songs (5 unique charts), plus a chart editor and "list" system (play as many songs as you want, without breaks!) to set up for endless potential for community content. It is all open source, so the code can be edited / tweaked to your hearts content. Enjoy!
BIG thanks for DeliriousPersona for drawing the logo circle! I appreciate it :)
For the final project of my computer science class, I decided that I was going to make a rhythm game. The idea for the game (an 8-key rhythm game played with the numpad) was one that I had come up with in my mind maybe a few months before I started working on it, and it just kinda bounced around in my head and I thought it was cool. I took the opportunity to create the game, and spent ~2 months on it.
The final project was _supposed_ to take 5 hours, but instead I worked way. way more than that. on it. but it was worth it because I think the final product is pretty neat!
So yeah. I should be back to uploading semi-frequently now as the new semester begins and I don't have much stuff to work on anymore (hopefully no more 40 day breaks lmao. It was nice stepping away from the channel for a bit though, and it's not like I was dead. I commented on videos and stuff so it was all fine).
I will eventually write up a full wiki on this thing (for now the chart editor has extreme basics covered) but it is not a priority. I also may update it in the future, but it is similarly not a priority.
Also if you find bugs, don't expect them to be fixed. Again I may not update this. I also know about a few bugs / misc. things I could tweak, but I probably won't fix them any time soon. I'm excited to be working on Remixed again, and my focus is on that now.
