This video is outdated, and left for archival purposes. The game has been fixed 24.01.2021, friend rooms now work.
This game is listed as "Being Tested" on the Wiimmfi website (wiimmfi.de/stat?m=24#:~:text=Puyo%20Puyo!!%2020th%20Anniversary / wiimmfi.de/game-history/156).
You can get to the WFC menu, the ranking only displays me (likely a bug too?), friend lists may work (I don't know anyone willing to test so I have not tried it), and matchmaking dies after some seconds with error code 85010. So it... kinda works...? :p
