You know, in case I'm not stalling what I should be working on any longer...

After many long years, I've at last gotten my hands on a standalone copy of this game! For those who don't know, the copy I've had for the longest time was actually part of a 4-game compilation (it also had The Farm, Freddi Fish 1 and Putt Parade), and it didn't have the DOS version on it. However, I recently found a pretty cheap copy of this game on eBay, which is an EXTERMELY rare sight. Seriously, this game tends to go for $20 upward secondhand, usually not any lower than $30, and I found one for only seven. No way I was going to let that chance pass. So here we are!

For the most part, it's exactly what you expect. Yellow cursor, MIDI music, can be played at the proper aspect ratio...in fact the only distinct differences this has between the Windows version is that in Coloring, the cursors properly change color when a color is picked, and in Circus Stormin', some of the sounds that are cut off in the Windows version are heard in full here. For instance, the strongman and high dive usually only play a few samples before the helicopter noise overrides it and cuts it off, but here, they're heard in full. In fact, due to this, there's a few sounds you outright DON'T hear in the Windows version, such as the popcorn popping and the cannon shooting, that can be heard perfectly fine here!

This walkthrough was pretty so-so. I tried to go a little more in-depth than I did with the Windows walkthrough, showing different difficulties if they made a major cosmetic change. I didn't do this for the Putt's Fun Pack games since I already did so in said walkthrough, but I did this for Tangrams, Word Hunt, and On-Ramps and Off-Ramps since they make pretty major changes at each difficulty. I also played Circus Stormin' on Hard instead of Hardest for some variety. Also, I played with the "real" playing cards in Go Fish. If I ever find, by some miracle, Fatty Bear's Fun Pack I will probably use the numbers-only cards there.

Just a fair bit of warning...I don't win every game in this walkthrough. In fact I did some pretty stupid things, including giving Putt-Putt a triple jump in Checkers, making a near game-costing misclick in Lines and Boxes, and doing terrible in general in some others. So...not exactly my best work. Didn't really help it was 11PM when I recorded this and just came off doing a lab report so I wasn't exactly that willing to concentrate either.

Enjoy the walkthrough. Interestingly, this is so far the first video on ALL of YouTube to feature the DOS version of this game! Every single other video has done the Windows version...no idea why that is.
