Let’s go shopping!

Hang out with guitarist Nicholas Veinoglou as he visits Guitar Center Hollywood to put together a new pedalboard for his studio sessions and live gigs. To start the fun, Veinoglou pulled a PRS S2 McCarty 594 right off the shelf to demo his pedal choices.

In keeping with his studio/live focus, he went for a Line 6 HX Stomp. The HX Stomp provides great-sounding effects, and it also offers excellent amp simulations for when he doesn’t want to lug a big rig, or needs to easily and quickly change amp sounds.

For ambient excursions, Veinoglou went with his “absolute staple” reverb machine—the Strymon BigSky. The “icing on the cake” for his signal chain is the Strymon Deco V2, which fattens up sounds with tape emulation. The duo of an Electro-Harmonix SYNTH9 and a Pitch Fork+ fall into the “secret weapon” category for creating unconventional sounds, as well as faux 12-string tones and fake bass parts.

After Veinoglou picks up a Livewire Tour pedalboard and a Strymon Zuma power supply, he invites you to the studio to show you how everything sounds, and offer advice on signal-chain strategies and more.
