Late autumn signals the end of the growing season in the Ozarks. It is the very best time to put in a new garden or freshen up an existing garden.
Our small garden spot is over 35 years old. The soil is planted heavily every year. Yet, it continues to produce high quality fruit and vegetables every year.
How so? The main reason is in how we put it to sleep. We’ve learned that taking a bit of time to prepare it for winter makes all the difference in whether or not we will have a good garden come springtime.
