Russia’s President Vladimir Putin says Ukraine has “opened Pandora’s box” by targeting Russian economic sites, warning that Moscow will retaliate against Ukraine’s most sensitive economic sectors.His comments come hours after a deadly Russian drone strike on a shopping centre in Kryvyi Rih, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy’s hometown, killed at least 16 people and injured more than 130. Rescue workers are continuing to search through the wreckage for people reported missing.There have been further Russian strikes overnight, as Ukraine continues its own attacks deep inside Russian territory, including against economic and industrial infrastructure.With the war showing few signs of ending, we spoke to Alexander Titov, a Russia affairs analyst and lecturer at Queen’s University Belfast, to discuss whether this has become a never-ending war.
