Purpleheart wood changes color, which is sometimes disappointing, then cool, then eventually disappointing again. When I posted my first wood-baking video, I noticed that the purpleheart got a deeper color when baked and that color seemed to be more permanent, so I decided to run a test to figure out the best temperature and time for baking. I ended up with more questions, but at least I answered some of the ones I started with.
