Previously we had modified a DAT machine to allow for a digital transfer of U-matic PCM digital audio tapes. But this relied on an old DAT machine to work reliably. A better solution would be a super-rare Digital Audio Format Converter such as this one from ADT (Audio Digital Technology) made in 1993.
