I made some pumpkin syrup and bottled it with some handmade tags to use as gifts. You can use the syrup for coffee, tea, cocoa, steamed milk, or any other beverage that you would like to turn into pumpkin spice. The syrup needs to be stored in a refrigerator.
Recipe:
(for 1 batch about 16 oz)
1 cup water
1/2 cup brown sugar
1/2 cup honey
1/2 cup pumpkin puree
2 tsp pumpkin pie spice
1/2 tsp cinnamon
1 tsp vanilla
Cook water, sugar, and honey in saucepan over medium heat until sugar is disolved. Add the pumpkin and spices and stir over heat until all the ingredients are blended in and the syrup is smooth. Let cool to room temperature and then stir in vanilla. Store syrup in refrigerator.
