This video is geared toward the intermediate soap maker and beyond who have a working knowledge on how to make soap, it is not geared toward a beginner because we do not cover some very basic steps in this video. Please use safety precautions always when making soap!
First off, here is the soap dough recipe I formulated and used. 20% castor oil, 30% coconut oil, 50% lard, water 33%, SF 6%. For one pound: 3.2oz castor oil, 4.8oz coconut oil, 8oz lard, 5.28oz water, 2.3oz sodium hydroxide. Make this soap recipe as though you were making regular soap. Mold it, and cover, do not gel for best results. Colors may be added prior to molding as desired.
