The private sector is an important stakeholder in land degradation neutrality, especially in agricultural lands. This session, co-hosted with the governments of Germany and Côte d'Ivoire, presents UNCCD Parties with the results of a global consultation with businesses across agri-food and adjacent value chains on how governments can facilitate their contributions to sustainable land management. The session will provide a platform to discuss the recommendations, align priorities for COP17, and identify practical pathways to increase private sector contributions to regenerative landscapes and sustainable agricultural land management.
