When a distress call comes in, OpComm responds, dispatching the nearest troopers, relaying critical information, and coordinating with emergency services. Whether it’s a high-speed pursuit, a roadside emergency, or a natural disaster, OpComm ensures that AZDPS troopers have the intelligence and support they need to respond swiftly and effectively.

Beyond dispatching, OpComm monitors trooper safety, tracks statewide incidents in real time, and provides state troopers with crucial updates on hazardous conditions, suspect descriptions, and evolving threats. In the dead of night or the peak of summer heat, when backup may be miles away, the voice of OpComm is a lifeline, guiding troopers through the unknown and ensuring they return safely at the end of every shift.

It is because of their unwavering dedication that AZDPS can continue its day-to-day operations and keep Arizona communities and highways safe. Thank you OpComm, and have a wonderful National Public Safety Telecommunicators week!
