For the first time in over 100 years, a ribbon of greenish-gold carves uninterrupted from Keno, Oregon to the Pacific Ocean. With Iron Gate, Copco 1 and 2, and J.C. Boyle dams gone, the Klamath River is slowly reshaping and restoring the riverbed, inviting the chance to discover the region anew.
Soon, spawning salmon and a colorful cohort of kayaks, piloted by Indigenous youth from the Klamath River basin, will return to reclaim their home waters.
