(Why I involve myself with drugs)
1) Sovereignty over our own Consciousness
I desire the basic right to experiment and explore our conscious-experience of life via our own preferences and decisions as long as it doesn’t cause unavoidable harm to others. I believe that we have a basic right, since we are quite literally part of LIFE itself (the universe that is living), to experience our lives via OUR OWN decisions (so long it doesn’t unavoidably harm anyone else). In my opinion, no one should be able to control *how* we choose to experience life and the inevitably-unique lens of reality we choose to live by. Regardless, inevitably, we all experience life differently anyways, so it makes no natural-sense to try and maintain a standard paradigm, “status quo”, or culturally normative way of life. The only constant is change. I believe we should let life and its norms evolve – so that we can further evolve naturally with life and continue living in harmony with what came before us and is still here with us NOW.
2) To Remove Stigma
In my opinion, because I have consistently experienced highly beneficial “trips” on drugs and during deep meditation, drugs and other “altered states of consciousness” (like meditative states), should be respected as something potentially beneficial and not inherently “far out”, “radical” or “crazy”. Furthermore, people who use drugs should not be seen as criminals, but seen as people who choose to use drugs; just like coffee, alcohol, sugar, and pharmaceuticals… If the users are causing unavoidable problems to themselves or others, than we should have infrastructure in place to help rehabilitated them, educate them, and provide them SAFE and REGULATED drugs so that there is no risk of dying or causing further harm as a result of dangerous &/or experimental substances and unhealthy behavior.
