In part 2 of the video series-How I Develop My Characters, I explain the third step in my process. This part of the method consists of delving deeper into who my characters are, what they stand for, and where they come from, among many other questions I ask myself. There are so many ways to get to know your character intimately, and this is one of many ways. This method, in this phase of development, revolves around asking the tough questions and really finding out about their backstory, their history, upbringing, views, and lifestyle. I focus on different questions, to reveal different aspects of the development and psyche of my characters. These are but a few examples of how in-depth you can go to knowing and finding your character and their voice. I hope this video can help you get a few ideas or inspiration that may help you bring your characters to life. remember to stay tuned for the next video in the series, pt.3, in which I will discuss the last step in my process. It's what I call the "clothing" of my character. This includes what makes them who they are based on predetermined traits, based on their personality type. Thanks so much for watching.
