A hot and very humid night in the Twin Cities metro, where temperatures only dipped down into the lower 80s, was the result of Thursday's sizzling temperatures. Temperatures Thursday approached triple digit values, with Heat Index values reaching near 110 degrees as dewpoints remained steady in the 70s.
Friday proved to be just as bad, if not worse; temperatures were just as hot, the dewpoints were just as high, heat indexes again approached 110... but the cold front brought some very strong thunderstorms in the late evening hours. (Videos to come).
