Psychology and Churchill Crocodiles
With Dermot Rooney
Part of our Build up to DDay and Operation Overlord series

In today's show Dermot looks at whether the use of flame-thrower Crocodile tanks made a significant difference on the battlefield. Did they assist in taking enemy positions, and how much of that was due to the phycological fear of being burned? Dermot's research and conclusions will be very interesting!

Dermot is a military psychologist, historian, and operational analyst with 30 years’ experience in defence research. He has just been awarded a PhD by King’s College London, and his thesis Slog or Swan: British Army Effectiveness in Operation Veritable is due to be published by Helion in 2024. If you are interested in tactical psychology or Op Veritable, or just want to correct him on any errors, please contact wapentakes@gmail.com
