About:
The PlayStation VR2 (PS VR2) is an upcoming virtual reality headset for the PlayStation 5 home video game console developed by Sony Interactive Entertainment set to be released February 22, 2023.[2][3]
History
Sony's first PlayStation VR was released in 2016. Sony announced the PlayStation VR2 for the PlayStation 5 at the 2022 Consumer Electronics Show.[4][5]
A release date of February 22, 2023, and a retail price of $549.99 was announced in November 2, 2022 at the official PlayStation Blog.[6]
Hardware
The headset will connect to the PlayStation 5 console with a single USB-C cable.[2] Unlike the first generation PlayStation VR, which tracked player movements through an external PlayStation Camera, the PS VR2 will track movements by four cameras mounted on the headset.[2][3]
The PlayStation VR2 will have an OLED panel with a 4K display resolution.[2] Each display will have a resolution of 2,000 x 2,040 pixels.[3] The headset has two inward-facing eye-tracking cameras. It uses eye-tracking to enable games to use Foveated rendering, a performance optimization technique where the render resolution of the game is reduced in areas where the player is not looking.[3]
The PS VR2 will also feature the new "Sense" controllers.[2] The features of these controllers include the same haptic feedback and adaptive triggers of the DualSense, as well as some limited finger tracking.[2]
PS VR2 cannot play first generation PS VR games. Sony explains that this is because the PS VR2 was designed to deliver "a truly next-generation VR experience".[7][8]
Games and content
More than 20 games are in development for PS VR2 from PlayStation Studios and third party partners, including Resident Evil Village, The Walking Dead: Saints & Sinners β Chapter 2: Retribution, No Man's Sky, Star Wars: Tales from the Galaxy's Edge, Demeo and PS VR2 exclusive Horizon Call of the Mountain.[9] Gran Turismo 7 and Beat Saber were also confirmed in January.[10]
Reception
Early previews have been positive.[2] The Sense controllers received acclaim from CNET.[3] The lack of backward compatibility, and the price of the headset received mixed reaction.[11][12][13][14]

About:
The DualShock 4 (CUH-ZCT1) is the PlayStation 4s controller. It has several new features from DualShock 3. One new feature is a built-in two-point capacitive touch pad on the front of the controller, which can be clicked.[35] This allows the touch pad to represent multiple buttons, as demonstrated in the PS4 version of Elite Dangerous in which the four corners of the touch pad can be mapped to a separate clickable actions.[36] The controller supports motion detection via a three-axis gyroscope and three-axis accelerometer and vibration.[35] It includes a non-removable,[37] rechargeable 3.7 V, 1000 mAh lithium-ion battery, which can be charged while the system is in rest mode. It weighs 210 g (7.4 oz) and has dimensions of 162 mm Γ 52 mm Γ 98 mm (6.4 in Γ 2.0 in Γ 3.9 in).[37]
The front of the controller features a light bar containing three LEDs that, when lit in conjunction, cause the light bar to glow a variety of colors. Developed for PlayStation VR,[38] it can be used to identify players by matching the colors of the characters they control in a game, or to provide enhanced feedback or immersion by changing patterns or colors in reaction to gameplay.[39][40] An early example of this is displayed in the game Grand Theft Auto V; the light bar will flash red and blue when the player is wanted by the police, simulating the flashing lights of a police car. The light bar is also used in conjunction with the PlayStation Camera to judge the positions and movements of multiple players.[39]
The controller features several input and output connectors: a stereo headset jack (3.5 mm CTIA TRRS connector), a micro-USB port, and an extension port.[35] It can be charged using the console, using a dedicated charging station, or via microUSB using a standalone charger.[35] It also includes a mono speaker, like the Wii Remote, and is the second major controller in video game history to have such feature.[35]
The DualShock 4 features the following buttons: PS button, SHARE button, OPTIONS button, directional buttons, action buttons (triangle, circle, cross,[41] square), shoulder buttons (R1/L1), triggers (R2/L2), analog stick click buttons (L3/R3), and a touch pad click button.[35] These mark several changes from the DualShock 3 and other previous PlayStation controllers. The START and SELECT buttons have been merged into a single OPTIONS button.[35][37] A dedicated SHARE button allows players to upload screenshots and videos from their gameplay experiences.[35] The joysticks and triggers have been redesigned based on developer input,[35] with the ridged surface of the joysticks now featuring an outer ring surrounding the convex dome caps.
The DualShock 4s buttons differ slightly in functionality from the DualShock 3. Only the L2 and R2 triggers are pressure-sensitive, a change from the functionality of the DualShock 2 and 3. This is likely due to the fact that most games did not utilize these buttons as well as due to it not being used on competitors controllers.
The PlayStation 3 is forward compatible with the DualShock 4 (originally only via a microUSB cable). Firmware update 4.60 for the PS3 added wireless connectivity; however, motion and vibration functions are not supported.[42] As the START and SELECT buttons are no longer present, the OPTIONS and SHARE buttons respectively replace them. The PS button does not work, thus requiring the console to be reset in order to go back to the menu. Xbox Wireless Controller and accessories for Xbox Series X/S

An Xbox Series X/S controller in Shock Blue
The Series X and Series S ship with an updated version of the Xbox Wireless Controller intended to fit a larger range of hand sizes. They include same key buttons as the past controllers: two analog joysticks that can be depressed, a circle pad, four action buttons, two system buttons (View and Menu), the main Xbox home button, two grip triggers (left and right), and two shoulder buttons (left and right). The new controller adds a Share button alongside the View and Menu buttons; pressing Share once takes a screenshot, while holding the button begins a Game DVR recording.[60][61]
Microsoft found that by aiming the size to fit an eight-year-olds hands, they were able to make the design fit a larger section of the population; it thus features more sculpted grips, and has reduced and rounded trigger buttons.[61] The D-pad is a new concave design that senior console designer Ryan Whitaker said was a means to merge the normal D-pad style on the standard Xbox One controller and the version on the Elite variant to accommodate a range of playstyles.[61] Small tactile dot patterns have been added to the buttons to help players orient fingers on the controls.[61] The controller continues to use two AA batteries, though a rechargeable battery pack is available as an accessory. Microsoft found from focus group studies that players were split nearly 50/50 on the use of batteries versus recharging and thus gave the controller the option to use either.[29]
The controller uses the same wireless protocol introduced by the Xbox One, and is backward compatible with existing Xbox One consoles. Existing Xbox One controllers are also compatible with Xbox Series X.[61][54][62] The new controller also supports the Bluetooth Low Energy standard allowing it to pair with mobile devices and other hardware supporting that standard, and has internal storage to remember those connections.[61] It uses a USB-C connector for wired use and charging (with the optional battery kit) rather than USB Micro-B
iPhone
The iPhone is a line of smartphones produced by Apple Inc. which uses Apples own iOS mobile operating system. The first-generation iPhone was announced by then-Apple CEO Steve Jobs on January 9, 2007. Since then, Apple has annually released new iPhone models and iOS updates. As of November 1, 2018, more than 2.2 billion iPhones had been sold. As of 2022, the iPhone accounts for 15.6% of global smartphone market share.[3]
The iPhone was the first mobile phone with multi-touch technology.[4] Since the iPhones launch, it gained larger screen sizes, video-recording, waterproofing, and many accessibility features. Up to iPhone 8 and 8 Plus, iPhones had a single button on the front panel with the Touch ID fingerprint sensor. Since iPhone X, iPhone models have switched to a nearly bezel-less front screen design with Face ID facial recognition, and app switching activated by gestures. Touch ID is still used for the budget iPhone SE series.
The iPhone is one of the two largest smartphone platforms in the world alongside Android, and is a large part of the luxury market. The iPhone has generated large profits for Apple, making it one of the worlds most valuable publicly traded companies. The first-generation iPhone was described as a revolution for the mobile phone industry and subsequent models have also garnered praise.[5] The iPhone has been credited with popularizing the smartphone and slate form factor, and with creating a large market for smartphone apps, or app economy. As of January 2017, Apples App Store contained more than 2.2 million applications for the iPhone. Sonos, Inc. is an American developer and manufacturer of audio products best known for its multi-room audio products. The company was founded in 2002 by John MacFarlane, Craig Shelburne, Tom Cullen, and Trung Mai. Patrick Spence was named CEO in January 2017[2]
Sonos has partnered with over 100 companies that offer music services, including Pandora, iHeartRadio, Spotify, MOG, QQ Music, and Amazon Music.[3] Sonos products work with the three major voice assistants: Amazon Alexa, Google Assistant, and Apple Siri, although the latter is currently only supported through Apples Home app.[4] In 2019 Sonos acquired Snips SAS, a privacy-focused AI voice platform for connected devices with the goal to bring a music-specific assistant to its devices.[5]
The Xbox Series X and the Xbox Series S (collectively, the Xbox Series X/S[b]) are home video game consoles developed by Microsoft. They were both released on November 10, 2020, as the fourth generation of the Xbox console family, succeeding the Xbox One. Along with Sonys PlayStation 5, also released in November 2020, the Xbox Series X and Series S are part of the ninth generation of video game consoles.[3]
Rumors regarding the consoles first emerged in early 2019, with the line as a whole codenamed Scarlett and consisting of high-end and lower-end models codenamed Anaconda and Lockhart respectively; Anaconda was teased by Microsoft during E3 2019 under the codename Project Scarlett, and unveiled during The Game Awards in December as Xbox Series X. On September 8, 2020, Microsoft unveiled the lower-end model, Xbox Series S.
As with the Xbox One line, the consoles utilize an AMD CPU and GPU. Both models feature a new storage architecture based around solid-state drives to reduce loading times, support for hardware-accelerated ray-tracing and spatial audio, My Minimalist Gaming Setup 2022 - LG CX OLED, Xbox Series X, Sonos Arc and more!](https://i.ytimg.com/vi/oWlpGZsjba0/mqdefault.jpg)
